These pins have a retaining dimple that keeps the pins from falling out of the fixture, (See illustration). They are capable of testing SMD products on centersof: .050, .040, .025 and as low as .015 mil. They also allow testing of high density boards with the standard .100 mil grid. It is possible to fan the pins up to .250 inches off center, and still maintain excellent contact. The use of a three plate system is recommended. Test Connections offers pins in four diameters and several different head styles to facilitate almost any application.
Custom designs can also be supplied.
